Sir Robert Arbuthnot, 6th Baronet

Sir Robert Dalrymple Arbuthnot, 6th Baronet (4 July 1919 – 30 June 1944) was a British soldier.
The son of Sir Dalrymple Arbuthnot, 5th Baronet and Alice Maud Arbuthnot was educated at Kingsmead College, Seaford, East Sussex, and Eton College, Berkshire. He was further educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge. On 31 March 1941 he succeeded to his father's baronetcy. Arbouthnot fought in the Second World War, serving as Major in the 24th Lancers. He was killed in action in Normandy and died unmarried and childless.
Nash Church in Nash, South Shropshire, has a window to his memory by the pulpit.
