Sir John St Aubyn, 5th Baronet

Sir John St Aubyn, 5th Baronet (May 17, 1758 - August 10, 1839) was a Sheriff of Cornwall and Grand Master of the Freemasons. He was a well known fossil collector who in addition to his own collection purchased the large collection possessed by Richard Greene.

Visited Bath 23 Feb 1790 with Martha and family May 4, 1793 - Probably involved in the slave trate to Jamaica Provincial Grand Master of the Fremasons in Cornwall from 1785 Member of the Society of Friends of Foreigners in Distress 1812 Was at Court on September 15, 1803. Sold a house in London in 1812 and 1814. Met Mary Shelly in Geneva in the summer of 1816 and subsequently bought a country house there. He, Juliana, John and his wife and William and his wife dined with Washington Irving Thursday May 25, 1825 in Paris and the home of Sir Egerton Brydges
