Singly even number

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A singly even number is an integer divisible by 2 but not divisible by 4, i.e., an integer of the form 4n+2 with n an integer.

A singly even number cannot be a powerful number. It cannot be represented as the difference of two squares. However, a singly even number can be represented as the difference of two pronic numbers or of two powerful numbers.
