Sin (Japanese: 「罪」 - Tsumi) is episode 31 of the Fullmetal Alchemist TV series originally aired 2004-05-08.

Amidst the confusion during the assault on South Headquarters, Envy (disguised as Führer Bradley) manages to take the homunculus boy from Izumi. Envy feeds incomplete Philosopher's Stones to the boy, completing his transformation into the seventh homunculus, Wrath. Colonel Archer offers Kimbley reinstatement as a State Alchemist. Izumi takes Wrath back to his birthplace on Yock Island. In flashback, we see her failed attempt to transmute her dead infant and how she gave the grotesque result of that attempt to the Gate. The malformed infant homunculus cried out in fear as the Gate took him. That homunculus is now Wrath. True to his name, he harbors tremendous anger at Izumi for abandoning him, and at Edward for giving him only a taste of humanity via the arm and the leg he took from Ed at the Gate. (We later discover that Wrath, unsurprisingly, also suffers from a paralyzing fear of both the Gate and crying infants.) Wrath mistakenly believes that if he can take the rest of Ed's body, he can become truly human. Greed and his party arrive at Yock Island to try to recruit Wrath, only to be "outgunned" and turned away by Envy and Sloth.
