Simple magic cube
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A magic cube is a 3 dimensional extension of a magic square. A simple magic cube is the lowest class of this object. It meets the minimal requirements for being considered magic. These are: All rows, columns, pillars, and the four main triagonals sum to the constant (S).
S = m(m3 + 1)/2
A proper simple magic cube has 3m2 + 4 lines summing correctly. It contains NO magic squares .
If it is not proper some planes may be magic squares (i.e. contain two correct diagonals).
