Simone Buchanan

Simone Buchanan (born March 11, 1968, in Marrickville, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian film and television actress. Her full name is Simone Louise Buchanan. She is best known for her role as Debbie Kelly on the Australian television sit-com Hey Dad...!. She began her career in children's television on the ABC network. Since then she has appeared in several films, including playing a rape victim in Shame and as "Laura Harris" (and eventually "Anna Dodwell") in the defunct B-grade Australian drama series Pacific Drive.
Buchanan comes from a family of actors and musicians. Her younger sister Beth is well known for her appearances on Neighbours and Blue Heelers. Her brother Miles Buchanan is a musician and sometime actor. Buchanan attended Avalon Primary School. In 1998 she gave birth to a boy she named Tane and is presently not working in the film industry.
