Simon Moores

An authority on the evolution and delivery of electronic government, Simon Moores is Vice Chairman of policy development for the Conservative Technology Forumand Managing Director of Zentelligence (Research).

Author of March of the Spiders, a 2005 report examining the digital challenge to the publishing industry and co-author of the Conservative Party’s Digital Plan for Britain, Dr Moores is a director of the centre-right open market think tank Aediles, and advises governments, business and the media on the evolution, development and application of Internet-related technologies and their impact on governance, security and social change. He was also a member of Tony's Blair's Cabinet Office unit that developed 'UK Online'.

Credited with the expression, "Digital Divide" and an advisor and Technology Ambassador for the Prime Minister's "Office of the eEnvoy" in 2001 - 2002, Dr Moores is presently a member of the “Digital Economy Policy Group”, advising Conservative members of the European Parliament and Westminster shadow cabinet.

Working closely with law enforcement agencies as an expert on internet and computer crime, NetCrime, he is also a director of aviation advertising and banner towing business Airads, was a one-time runner-up for Computer Weekly’s IT Personality of the Year and is a columnist for Silicon.Comand Pilot Magazine.
