Simon Mastrantone(born 1982, United Kingdom) is a singer and a songwriter notable for both his unique voice and his angular melodic music. Currently signed to London independent label Rekabet Records.

Born in Birmingham to the bass playing son of an Italian ice cream man, he began his musical career as a drummer at age 8. After being in a number of bands during his teens, he formed political punk band Academy Morticians in which he was both a principal songwriter and the singer/guitarist. Between 1998 and 2001 the band released 2 EP’s and 2 albums before taking an extended leave.

After a three year break, he returned to music with a series of solo and full band shows around the UK playing music that mixed together punk, angular rock and ghostly balladry. It was in this period he co-founded the Songs in the Dark night with fellow musician Jeremy Warmsley and attracted the attention of Rekabet Records.
