Simon Langton Grammar School For Girls

Simon Langton Grammar School For Girls is an English state school of around 1000 pupils in Canterbury, Kent. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages. It became a school for girls in 1881, previously being part of Simon Langton Grammar School. The schools motto is 'Meliora Sequamur', which translates as 'Following the Best'

This is a grammar school for girls who have been assessed as suited to a 'selective' school under the Kent Procedure for Entrance to Secondary Education. Around 155 new students are accepted every year at age 11, and around 10 students every year join the sixth form from other schools.
