Simon Jones (editor)

Simon Jones is currently editor of The Reading Chronicle.

He was appointed in November 2005 where he was recruited from the Enfield Gazette. Simon started his career in journalism in 1989 as a reporter on The Bishop Stortford Herald & Post before moving to the North London Advertiser series, based in Finchley.

From 1997 Simon spent four years working on national newspapers in New Zealand, before returning to Britain for a brief spell on the Sunday Mirror.

His next move was to join the newsdesk of The Western Mail in Cardiff before being appointed editor of the Enfield Gazette and then The Reading Chronicle.
