Simon Fraser, 16th Lord Lovat
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Simon Fraser, 16th Lord Lovat and 5th Baron Lovat (born 13 February 1977), son of Simon, Master of Lovat and grandson of the 15th Lord Lovat, has been the chief of Clan Fraser since the death of his grandfather in 1995. While legally being 16th Lord Lovat, he is commonly referred to as the 18th Lord, and is also as the 25th MacShimidh (Gaelic: "son of Simon"), the traditional title of the Chiefs of Clan Fraser.
Lord Lovat went to Harrow School, and graduated from the University of Edinburgh. He now works as a stockbroker in London, and has many family issues to deal with (on account of his father), before he will have any time to take an interest in Clan matters. He has publicly voiced his determination to buy back his family's estate and ancestral home, Beaufort Castle.[citation needed]
