Simaxis is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Oristano in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 90 km northwest of Cagliari and about 11 km northeast of Oristano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,205 and an area of 27.8 km².^[1]

Simaxis borders the following municipalities: Ollastra, Oristano, Siamanna, Siapiccia, Solarussa, Zerfaliu.
