SIMS Co., Ltd. (シムス株式会社 Shimusu Kabushiki-gaisha?) ("Soft development Innovation Multi Success" [1]) is a Japanese video game publisher and developer originally established on June 12, 1991 as a joint venture of Sanritsu Denki Co., Ltd. (commonly known as Sanritsu) and Sega Enterprises, Ltd. About 50 employees transferred over. [2]
SIMS eventually became a subsidiary of Sega [3], but its ownership of the company came to an end on June 25, 2004, when SIMS President Noboru Machida took over all stock from the veteran game maker. [4]
The company is still active. Its latest game was Brave Story for the Sony PlayStation 2. It is currently working on a game for the Nintendo Wii. [5]

[edit] Games
For many years, SIMS developed exclusively for Sega-made game systems. 1999 was the first year its games appeared on a non-Sega machine (the portable Bandai WonderSwan). It went on to make games for the Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and others. The following is a list of its more well-known titles:
- Out Run 2019
- Sega Bass Fishing
- Sega Marine Fishing
- Various titles in the Sega Ages 2500 series
- Vay
- Wimbledon Championship Tennis
