Talk:Silver Buffalo Award
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FYI. The first set of recipients of the award were given out in a particular order. Those I know who recieved it then, and their order has been given. I think it important that we preserve this and try to find out all who got them. --Emb021 15:54, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] highest award?
This article indicates that the silver buffalo is the highest adult award confered by the BSA. That argument can be made, but it is incomplete. The silver buffalo is the highest award for national service. The highest award for regional is the silver antelope and the highest for local service is the silver beaver. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Woart (talk • contribs).
Since National is above regions and councils, the Silver Buffalo is considered the superior award. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 16:24, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removing names added without cited references
These names had been entered into the article, but there is no reference listed which cites these individuals: --Ctatkinson 02:53, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yogi Berra, professional baseball player and manager, Baseball Hall of Fame [1]
- Joseph Csatari, artist who succeeded Norman Rockwell as BSA's official artist [2]
- Donald Rumsfeld, United States Secretary of Defense [3]
There you go. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 03:05, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
