Silicate mineral paint

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Silicate Mineral Paints are mineral based coatings formulated with potassium silicate as the binder. They may be fully inorganic (containing no organic solvents) and are non-offgassing. Silicate mineral paints petrify, forming a micro-crystalline structure and a breathable coating. They also inhibit microbiotic growth.

Applications;

  • Acid rain resistance
  • environmentally friendly, non-toxic applications
  • high durability, especially on masonry products, and lightfast
  • breathable coating
  • antifungal properties
