Silentel SecureCall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Silentel SecureCall® is the application by Ardaco that applies encryption to phone calls over a GSM network preventing eavesdropping. It has two modifications - Standard (software) and Professional (with security hardware device).
[edit] Features of the Silentel SecureCall
- It enables the encryption of the voice communication through the mobile phone in the GSM network
- It uses the algorithm AES with a 256-bit key for encryption - with the power of the call protection at the level required for the TOP SECRET information (e.g. for the Government, Secret Services and the Army)
- It uses the one-time encryption keys - there are always new keys created with every new phone call. The key used with the current phone call will automatically be deleted after the completion of the communication
- The algorithm Diffie - Hellman provides an exchange of the one-time keys
- The algorithm RSA authenticates the phone call
- It can be used in any GSM network 900/1800/1900 which supports the data call (CSD) and the data transfer through the GPRS
- It supports roaming - the call encryption works also abroad depending on the operator
- The voice quality is the same as with the regular phone call - AMR voice compression
- The mobile phone with the operating system Symbian is required at present
- It absolutely supports an upgrade through the GPRS - you can download all the updates and adjustments for the future phones by installing the new version
