Silanus is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 120 km north of Cagliari and about 40 km west of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,346 and an area of 48.1 km2.[1]
Silanus borders the following municipalities: Bolotana, Bortigali, Dualchi, Lei, Noragugume.
