He began learning martial arts in 1983 with Japanese karate. By June of 1985, he switched from studying karate to WingTsun™ kungfu with Richard Guerra. In late 1991, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following boot camp and technical school, he was stationed on Ramstein AB, Germany where he served from December 1991 to December 1995 as a communications computer systems operator. During his 3 and a half years in Germany, he both studied and taught WingTsun™ under the European WingTsun Organization (EWTO) and Grandmaster Keith R. Kernspecht.

Upon returning to the USA, Webb opened the first professional WingTsun™ school in Austin, Texas in June 1997, and a second location in August 2004. Through dilligent study and hard work, he rose through the ranks and by late 2001, became headman of Grandmaster Leung Ting's International WingTsun Association - North American Section (IWTA-NAS). Over the years, he has trained a number of highly skilled practitioners and developed a solid reputation in the martial arts community.

On December 7, 2005, Webb and Sifu William Parker of San Antonio, Texas, became the first Americans to achieve master-level in Leung Ting WingTsun™. Both were promoted by Grandmaster Leung Ting at a formal ceremony in Hong Kong.

In addition to running two professional WingTsun™ schools and managing the affairs of Grandmaster Leung Ting in North America, he maintains a busy schedule of teaching weekend seminars across the continent.
