Students in Free Enterprise or SIFE is a global, non-profit organization that promotes free enterprise education on more than 1800 university campuses in more than 40 countries. SIFE offers university students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, thereby hoping to improve the standard of living for millions in the process. SIFE teams create educational outreach projects that aim to teach market economics, entrepreneurship, personal and financial success skills, and business ethics. Each year SIFE regional and national competitions are held around the world, bringing together students and business leaders to pay tribute to these educational outreach projects.
There are more than 900 colleges and universities in the United States with SIFE teams. The SIFE headquarters are based in Springfield, Missouri in the United States.
