Siemensdamm (Berlin U-Bahn)

Siemensdamm is a station on the Berlin U-Bahn line U7. It was opened on October 1, 1980 with the line's extension from Richard-Wagner-Platz to Rohrdamm. The station's name literally means "Siemens dam". It was named after Siemens AG, which to the present day owns many factories in the station's surroundings.
It lies between the stations Rohrdamm and Halemweg.
The Siemensdamm is also a street in Spandau, Berlin.
The station is constructed as a "Multi Purpose Facility". It is prepared and partially stocked to be used as a NBC shelter. It is specified to sustain 4332 people for 14 days.
