Siegfried Kapper

Siegfried Kapper (1821–1879) was a Bohemian writer of Jewish origin. He studied medicine at Prague University. Kapper wrote excellent fairy tales and poems, and was one of the leading figures of Czech-Jewish assimilation.
After his death, Kapper-Society was founded; its aim was Czech-Jewish assimilation and opposition to Zionism and German-Jewish assimilation.
