The Siege of Mézières (1521) took place during the Italian War of 1521. A Imperial army besieged the city, which was defended by French troops under the command of the Chevalier de Bayard and Anne de Montmorency; the siege was unsuccessful, and the determined French resistance gave Francis I time to concentrate his forces against Charles V.
