[edit] Vacation

I just came back from one week vacation and hope to catch up with all changes in Wikipedia. Siddiqui 23:26, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Population

It should have been rectified now by the concerned officials through the fresh census, it should have also been taken as a serious matter because how could we reply correctly if someone asks about the population of Sindh/Karachi in todays modern world .. how ridiculous is it that we just can assume/estimate about the Sindhis, Muhajirs and Pashtuns etc. Haider 00:20, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help on Azad Kashmir

Hello. Can you help out on this page's status? I think it should be removed as it seems to simply exist as a propaganda/nationalist page and doesn't add anything of value just as the Indian Occupied Kashmir page did not and was recently removed. See discussion page. [1] Tombseye 16:16, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NUST

Can you please take a look at Talk:NUST and comment there. There seem to be 3 colleges with the name NUST, so it would be better if NUST were a disambiguation page. - Aksi_great (talk) 13:21, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

As you are an admin, probably it should be better if you do the moves as it would require first moving the Science on to Sciences, then deleting Science and moving NUST to it. I will then create a disambig page for NUST. - Aksi_great (talk) 07:25, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
I honestly thought you were one :) - Aksi_great (talk) 17:34, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your addition on the Pashtun page needs some kind of reference

Hello. The added info. you input needs some sort of verifying reference as we have been trying to attach references to statements to add credibility to the article. Thanks. Tombseye 21:57, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

sdd your changes but in future do not revert mine.

[edit] Re User:Tamzigh

Hi,

I think you have done the right thing by reporting it to the WP:3RR page. Is there any other way in which I can help? I am not a serious editor to Rajput pages and hence I feel that you contacted my under the misconception of being one. Regards, -Ambuj Saxena (talk) 13:59, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi Siddiqui - I've asked user:ImpuMozhi to check this person's edits - he's more knowledgable on the Rajput pages. Rama's Arrow 16:04, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh yeah, don't worry about that. Rama's Arrow 20:37, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Packistani A-bomb

I have put this article up at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Packistani A-bomb. Your opinion on this matter would be appreciated. --DV8 2XL 02:01, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Some people are writing Hindi in Pakistan related articles. What do you say? I reverted some of them, but they are still doing it. --Spasage 06:08, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pashtun

Siddiqui Sahab, Thanks for your precious comments on Pashtun talk page as it has always been a burning fake issue among Pashtuns, it is due to just lack of awareness nothing else! Haider 21:16, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shaykh

And to the Sufi page as well. I'm editing the talk right now and asking for 3rd person moderation. Thanks for the comments on my talk page. I'm also cleaning it up a bit since there are some factual errors. --Nkv 18:00, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Greetings. Would it be convenient for you to look at the talk section of Sufism and offer a third party opinion? I have a nasty feeling that this whole discussion I'm having with an anonymous IP is turning into a revert war. Thanks much. --Nkv 15:06, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Editing Islam article

Hi Siddiqui. I have no idea. What is the problem? -- Szvest 19:03, 28 May 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up™

I think it's ok now. Try it. Cheers -- Szvest 19:11, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re; Doha

Yeah, it was surprising, because while studying Hindi, we generally associate the genre of dohas only with poetry in dialects like Brij Bhasha, Awadhi, etc, and not with khari boli, and Urdu is more like khari boli. This was all I was thinking about (no aggression intended) :) Regards, deeptrivia (talk) 19:06, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your additions to the Pashtun people

Do you have some references or citations you can add to your statements. Estimates such as 20% of people etc. need to have some basis in something just to lend credibility to the article as I am trying to make it into a feature article. Thanks. Tombseye 06:07, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I saw the info. on the Afghans in Guyana myself before and it's fine. We can't really have much more as I am going to try to shorten the article, reduce redundancy, and fix the writing with some copyediting so that it can make as a featured article. I added a citation to your previous addition as well and given the nature of the subject matter and in order to avoid criticism, citations are needed for any additions that will otherwise reduce the academic quality of the article. Thanks for the help. Ciao. Tombseye 18:43, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I'm done copyediting and making changes to the article. If you can, please weigh in as to whether or not you think the article should be a featured article. Thanks and adios. Tombseye 19:49, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of pages

I have deleted Category:Urdu Poetry at your request. However, the proper process for it is placing the {{db-author}} template in a page (it works only if you're the only contributor to the page). See WP:CSD for other cases when a page may be deleted without discussion. Conscious 15:27, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Famous Muhajir

Your recent created Famous Muhajir category is unacceptable. All Muhajirs do not support MQM et al. So please do not Abdul Qadeer Khan, Pervez Musharraf, and others with MQM related ethnic hatred. Siddiqui 16:38, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

It may be unacceptable to you but to others, on account of your personal dislikeness. It is Famous Maujir not Famous MQM Supporters. So your objection does not contain ground.

[edit] Ghurids

Sorry for the late reply. I am totally busy with Babur and al-Farabi, both articles are under extreme anti-Persian and Turkish-nationalist POV-attacks.

Thanks for creating the Ghurids page. The two other articles dealing with the Tajik "Ghori" dynasty should be merged. I leave that to you ;) Tajik 21:04, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

BTW: I've done some work and research on the Kizilbash article. Please take some time to have a look at it, and please feel free to correct or expand it - of course using reliable sources ;). [edit] Your revert of Lohana that removed a lot of information

While the Lohana article was a mess, the article, as it now stands, gives little information about the Lohanas today, and seems to give the impression that they all became Memons, yet a Google search shows that they still exist as a community. I urge you to refrain from blanket reverts to information added by other users, and instead work towards consensus so that the factual content and accuracy of Wikipedia can be improved.

For the record, I am a Memon, but I value accuracy and verifiability over cultural chauvinism from any quarter (not that am accusing you of that, but I thought I'd let you know about my editing philosphy). Keep up the good work. Park3r 12:25, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

I did not add any information to the Lohana article, I only added the wikify tag (and I was hoping to start cleaning it up). The About.com article [2] appears to be a Wikipedia clone (see bottom of page), so I doubt the article constitutes a copyright violation if it came from Wikipedia in the first place :-). Of course it could have been ripped-off from somewhere else, so if you have evidence of that, then I would support your removal of the information. Park3r 08:38, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I also see you believe i am "Qadiani". Point to Note: I attend a CATHOLIC highschool. If you might notice I did not flag ALL of Mr. Madudi's books,as some actually are articles. One off sentences should be deleted.--AeomMai 15:40, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Also if it please you, the Qadianism article HAS been deleted, and forwarded to the main ahmadi article. YOu are behind on the times.

[edit] Palestine

Hey Siddiqui, its me Khalid (alias Afghan Historian). I wanted your perspective on a part of the Palestinian issue that I wasnt aware of till now. Apparently prior to 1948, there were Zionist terrorist groups who would terrorize the British authorities to allow them to bring in illegal Jewish immigrants by the truckloads. They would conduct attacks not just on British soldiers but on Palestinians as well. The aim would be to get enough Jewish immigrants to outnumber the local Arab population. The book I read this in was the Seventh Million. I forgot the author's name but once I find it out again, I will give it to you. But it raises an interesting question. The media has led us to believe that Palestinians are always suicide bombing Israelis, but no one gives a f***** mention about Zionist bombings and terrorist attacks on Arabs for 20 years prior to the creation of Israel in 1948. About the same amount of time the Palestinians have been supporting terrorist attacks in retaliation against Israelis due to Israeli policies. I mean this is the kind of stuff that eventually led to the first Arab Israeli war in 1948 that displaced the Palestinians permanently. I'm not Anti Jewish. I love the Jewish people and sympathize with their suffering, but I dont agree how a few Jewish extremists can harm Arab civilians and try to overpower them and then expect history to ignore their action while Arab retalitory actions are viewed by the media and the world as first aggression. What's your perspective on this? Also, I hope you enjoy the Ramadan holiday. Best wishes to you. Afghan Historian 04:21, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Demographics of Pakistan

You reverted my changes. Those changes included grammatical corrections as well as an attempt to make the text more factual. Before I made the changes, I wrote quite a bit on the discussion page.

To my knowledge, there have been no surveys in Pakistan as to what percentage of the population adheres to which school (Deobandi, Barelvi, etc.) Even as regards to the percentage of people belonging to each sect (Shia or Sunni) the estimates vary. Honesty demands that this uncertainty should be part of the article. We don't know what percentage of people are Deobandi or Barelvi. When I ask the average Pakistani if he is Deobandi or Barelvi, he doesn't know. Some have never even heard of Deobandi or Barelvi.

Lastly, the article does not cite its sources. I hope we can work together to improve the article, but please don't revert my changes without discussing it with me. EastBayer 15:25, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Could you discuss some points with me on Talk:Demographics of Pakistan? EastBayer 05:12, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Khan

I do not have anything to do with the other articles so I don't know what their justifications are one way or another, and there is no reason to assume that Wikipedia must be totally consistent in every point (it is not, and in general we only try to create "rules" in Wikipedia when they are absolutely necessary). There is no policy on this to my mind and I see no pressing reason for it. But in this case I see no reason to remove it — it gives useful information about the timing of his move to Pakistan. Is there a good reason to remove it? I imagine this is because of some sort of nationalistic tendencies that I don't quite understand — I take no position in the Pakistan/India disputes and it means very little to me at a personal level, so it is hard for me to see exactly what the problem is with stating what seems to be quite a very simple fact, one which does not imply goodness or badness on the part of Khan, India, or Pakistan. --Fastfission 18:45, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Peanuts and 68.20.36.28

Siddiqui, please look around before reverting an edit. While I concede that "68.20.36.28"'s actions regarding the Balochistan Earthquake entry appear to be vandalism (I have no knowledge to judge, but it certanily appears to be so), it does not follow that every other thing this user did is also a vandalism.

It's worth checking, particularly in a case like this, in which we are dealing just with an IP number; it might be that two different users used the same IP number. It happens all the time, either because people access from dial-up ISPs or because they are using a shared computer. In this case, it's highly likely, since there was a 19 month gap between the only two edits logged to that IP.

Furthermore, when you reversed the edit in "Peanut", you not only reversed a valid edit, but you also reverted ALL other edits done later -- that is, 19 MONTHS of work by a lot of different people. Even if it were a vandalism that somehow was missed by later editors, throwing out all the work by that many people is not nice.MCBastos 01:39, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I have found a page click on http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/country_profiles/1156716.stm which has some useful relevant info. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 15:40, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I have started the page 1977 in Pakistan see it has one bit of info this is the bare mininum it should have!!!Ernst Stavro Blofeld 15:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I will definitely tag any cat that I see that has an article for each year in each a nation's history. I looked up Category:Years by country to do just that, but as I perused it, Pakistan was the only country I saw that was doing this. The others just seem to group key events by year. For example: Category:2006 in Peru includes Peruvian national election, 2006 and Peru at the 2006 Winter Olympics, pre-existing articles that share a common year. That is not what I am opposed to, so i see no need to nominate it.--Esprit15d (talk ¤ contribs) 16:06, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Your welcome friend. That site I gave you is just a summary if you thinking of a start for the years. But feel sure you can find more detailed info on google and which also gives specific dates of events by year. For some reason pakistan is mostly dome by year from 1945-1980 but for some reason after 1980 not really covered. I started a few articles for you.Ernst Stavro Blofeld 17:16, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future.
The duration of the block is 48 hours. William M. Connolley 15:27, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Re your mail. I fear you are missing the point; nothing you have offered was a reason for breaking 3RR William M. Connolley 18:34, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Re your mail. You may well have requested mage protection. Why does that make you immune from 3RR? William M. Connolley 08:03, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Re your mail... again, I don't understand your point about page protection. "I was only reverting it too..."; fine, but don't do it 4 times. As to the rest... well I can understand why you wouldn't want ot discuss it openly. But I don't like that William M. Connolley 15:41, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] will you pl help me with this

2006 North Korean nuclear test

Good Hello. I've reverted your recent edit to the 2006 North Korean nuclear test article as it seemed pretty POV and did not provide a source or any evidence. If you do have evidence to back up your claim, please start a thread here on the discussion page and discuss. Cheers. L0b0t 17:21, 10 October 2006 (UTC) "your revert in my pov seems as biased bcz you have servered with U.S military so might be little predijuied about anything said against it.ThnaksYousaf465" I understand your concern. If you have a source for your claim, please feel free to put it back in the article. Cheers. L0b0t 17:39, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Fantastic, I eagerly await your posting of the source. Cheers. L0b0t 13:29, 11 October 2006 (UTC) A source in Urdu is not going to be verifiable by most of us. If you can't find a good source in English then you probably aren't going to be convincing anybody. See our policies on Verifiability and Reliable Sources. In any case, all reputable English sources say that Khan confessed to providing technology to North Korea; I haven't seen anything that would make me doubt that. The article does not, however, say or even imply that this had anything to do with the nuclear test, of which there is simply no evidence either way at the moment (there is far too little known about what Khan gave to North Korea to really know about that at this point, in my opinion). And for the record I haven't served in the U.S. military. --Fastfission 23:28, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked for 1 week for wikistalking

I've blocked you for a week for wikistalking User:Hkelkar. Please can you be sensible. If you're prepared to give up this senseless behaviour, I'll unblock you. Otherwise, you're not doing anyone any good and might as well stay blocked William M. Connolley 16:06, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Re your mail... you need a pause to calm down, I think. Please respond here with your promise to behave, and you can be unblocked William M. Connolley 20:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
I will stick to contributing to Pakistan related pages. I will also remove any unrelated information from Pakistan related pages. I have contributed 12,000 edits in Wikipedia. That record speaks for itself.
Siddiqui 21:01, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't much mind what pages you contribute to; and I don't know what you mean by remove-unrelated-info. What I want to know is that you'll behave properly. Just say yes to that William M. Connolley 08:37, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: escalating this to arbcomm. Thats fine by me; whether its fine by them is up to them. You are not getting any special treatment (from me). I've said you can be unblocked if you promise to behave; you reply with ambiguous statements. Its up to you. Emailing me repeatedly telling me you have 12,000 edits won't help William M. Connolley 12:11, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Wikistalking is bad idea. Try to resolve problems in respective pages. I learned my lesson.

[edit] Help in al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock

I am editing the Articles of both al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. And the non muslims there keep reverting claiming that the Dome is not a mosuqe but rather a shrine or a temple. See discussions of each article please to have more idea on what has been going on. Thank you. Almaqdisi 11:31, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Dear Siddiqui. Thank you for your message. If you may visit the discussion page [7]. There you will find claims that the Dome of the Rock was built by Jews and for Jews. I removed such allegations from the Article, and included the authentic story of the construction of the Dome of the Rock mosque. The problem is that there is edit warring regarding whether the Dome of the Rock is a mosque or not. In short, some nonmuslims mainly Jews suggest that it is a shrine for muslims and Jews equally. And that it is not a mosque for and an exclusive muslims site. Of course, we want to include the truth and stop spamming. It will help if you can give your input on this matter. I hope the discussion page will give you an idea on what is going on. Thank you. Almaqdisi 05:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Pashtun

Salaam Siddiqui! Thank you for taking the time to provide me with the information. The article has to do with Pashto and Hindko speaking Pashtuns. As a result, 11,703,000 would be inappropriate for the Pashtun article, though relevant in the Pashtun diaspora one. This is because many claimants of Pashtun heritage in South Asia have mixed with local Muslim populations and refer to themselves (and Pashto-speaking Pashtuns) in the Urdu/Hindi variant Pathan rather than Pashtun (see Islamic Voice). I had actually changed the number to 776,000 to reflect the number of Pashto speaking Pashtuns in India (1) a while back. However, an IP address reverted the number back to 11,703,000 (2). The reason why I reverted the edits of 74.96.67.109 is because he removed a substantial amount of information from the ethnic group box (3, 4). After the IP address user did not delete any more information and changed the number of Pashto speaking Pashtuns to the accurate statistic, no one reverted his edits. I hope this clears things up. Thanks again for your concern and understanding. I really appreciate you and the work you do here on Wikipedia. If you have any questions or if I could be of use to you in the future please feel free to let me know. Khuda hafiz, AnupamTalk 04:37, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Statement by User:Siddiqui

The following quoted paragraph from Pakistani historian Dr. Ahmad Hasan Dani website PAKISTAN - History through the Centuries is in dispute.

Pakistan, the Indus land, is the child of the Indus in the same way as Egypt is the gift of Nile. The Indus has provided unity, fertility, communication, direction and the entire landscape to the country. Its location marks it as a great divide as well as a link between Central Asia and South Asia. However, the historical movements of the people from Central Asia and South Asia have given to it a character of its own and have established closer relation between the people of Pakistan and those of Iran, Afghanistan and Turkistan.

PAKISTAN - History through the Centuries

I added this paragraph to History of Pakistan page on January 6th, 2006:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_Pakistan&diff=next&oldid=33916670

Pakistan, the Indus land, is the child of the Indus in the same way as Egypt is the gift of Nile.

It remained untouched until on October 10th, 2006 when an Indian Nobleagle changed it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_Pakistan&diff=80571560&oldid=80189246

The Pakistan region and its bordering Indian regions are the children of the Indus in the same way as Egypt is the gift of Nile.

I objected to this change in discussion page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:History_of_Pakistan

You don't need to add India and refer to it in all sentences. I wrote the paragraph starting with "Pakistan is a child of Indus" and then the Indians changed it to "The Pakistan region and its bordering Indian regions are the children of the Indus" without any discussion ! There are many sections in this article that discuss common history in South Asia. But somepeople want the word India in every sentence. This is History of Pakistan artcle!! Siddiqui 14:40, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

I reverted the Nobleagle change but he then changed it to:

The Indus has provided unity[citation needed] , fertility, communication, direction[citation needed] and the entire landscape to the region. Its location marks it as a great divide as well as a link between Central Asia and South Asia.[citation needed]

Then I reverted his blatant change and citations. He objected to the phrase "child of Indus" while his change as "Children of Indus" which also included the word India was fine with him.

I would appreciate arbitration on this issue. Siddiqui 00:27, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Statement by User:Nobleeagle

Response by Accused - Firstly I would like to say that some of the comments by Siddiqui above are not considerative of my thought processes. Especially "He objected to the phrase "child of Indus" while his change as "Children of Indus" which also included the word India was fine with him.. So let me take you through my thought processes. The situation was brought to be at WT:INWNB and I, before taking action, talked to User:Afghan_Historian who seemed to have done a lot of work on this page. The main concerns me and AfghanHistorian talked about were the fact that Pakistan was mentioned as an independent political entity before 1947. The page had lines that said something like: as an ancient independent country, Pakistan had more influence over...more connections with... etc. etc. I was not sure what the article talked about, was it talking about the Indus region? The various regions in Pakistan? or Pakistan as an independent country. In my edits around the time of the first diff Siddiqui has presented, I did major trimming accross the article, and (based on the assumption that the article was based on the region) made the change that Siddiqui has objected to. The whole series of diffs during this time is here, which shows I did a lot of trim-work. He then did a blanket revert of all my changes, just saying that he is "reinserting deleted text" as if I was conducting vandalism. After I reverted and Siddiqui reverted back, I decided the line was unnecessary, after all, a nation which existed after 1947 isn't as reliant on a river than Ancient Egypt was with the Nile. Thus I made this diff and others, which he blanket reverted. You are trying to pin the blame on me for nationalistic reasons. Anyway, that is a run-through of my thought processes. Also, this article is nominated for deletion Third_holiest_site_in_Islam, but some people who want to question Al-Quds significance in Islam want the article to stay. Please vote for delete.--Palestine48 06:56, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

I see that you have been actively participating on Pakistan-related pages on the Wikipedia. For ages, I have been thinking of including newer and innovative ideas for Pakistan related pages. I now have the resources to work on some things that I list below. Please have a look.

  • Detailed maps of whole cities in Pakistan
  • Travel guide information for each and every city of Pakistan
  • Demographics and details of cities
  • Places worth visiting in Pakistan
  • And... Photography envisioning the true Pakistan

So, would you be willing to help me out in this regard. - Arun Reginald 19:04, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My reversion

Hi - I don't dispute that the event occurred, but there does seem to be a dispute in progress, as evidenced by the previous edit summary, and was hoping to encourage you to initiate discussion on the article talk page. If you do add the text back into the article, could you possibly put it into another bullet point, or re-integrate it into the existing bullet point - as it was, it didn't make sense in the context, and (coupled with the previous edit summary) appeared to be vandalism to me, at the time (though I decided not to issue a warning). I apologize for my mistake :) Thanks for alerting me to this, Martinp23 14:54, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page protection/unprotection

I saw your post on User talk:Tony Sidaway requesting that he unprotect a page he protected in July. I just checked that page and it does not appear to be protected. If other editors and anons can edit the page, you should be able to as well, unless there is some specific reason you've been denied access to that page.

In any event, though, I believe Tony Sidaway is not very active right now and is not serving as an administrator, so if you need a page protected or unprotected, you should probably take the matter to WP:RFPP (for simple protections/unprotections) or WP:ANI (for complicated situations). Hope this is helpful. Newyorkbrad 21:51, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to edit the page. What happens when you try? In any event, though, I am not an administrator and therefore I can't do anything to change the status of the page myself. I was just making a suggestion. Regards, Newyorkbrad 21:59, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
That's weird. Does the same thing happen when you edit other pages? In any event, as I said, I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to edit the page, so it looks like a technical problem. I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions for dealing with that but a query to Village Pump:Technical might be fruitful. Newyorkbrad 22:04, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 1870 Photo - Lahore Fort

Siddiqui, I appreciate your comment. My idea of placing the b/w 1870 picture adjacent to the regular coloured one was to provide the contrast between 'now' and 'then'. You may note that the Hazuri Bagh Pavilion was double-storeyed before an earthquake toppled its upper storey. This can best be contrasted with the photograph of today.

Also, the Gallery has all coloured images, so I thought it could do well at the beginning. What do you think?

[edit] Pakistani photos for the Serbian wikipedia

Hello Siddiqui, I was wondering if you could do me a favour. A writer from the Serbian Wikipedia has contacted me with a need for photos of Pakistani stuff such as clothes, CD's, etc. I have that stuff, but they are all at my parents house, and I wont be there till winter break next month. It seems like he needs a few soon. I will give him photos of mine once I go home next month, but do you think you could upload some on the Serbian wiki for him. Like, could you take some photos of stuff you have from the old country and upload it? Here's his actual request:

Hello, I was writing an entry on Serbian Wikipedia about Urdu language. I am having hard time finding interesting pictures with everyday object that have Urdu script on them. If you would happen to have any magazines or daily newspapers or chocolate wrappers or CDs from Pakistan, with Urdu on them, could you take a photo of them and either post it on Wiki commons or take the photo and release rights into public domain? I would really appreciated it!

this is the link to Serbian Urdu page Urdu. It is in Serbian, so you may not understand it, but you can see photos I have there now.

Thank you again,

[edit] my concerns

Hi Mr Saddiqui,Im Nadirali,a Pakistani wikipedian(Sindhi/muhajir to be exact).I read your posts on the Pakistani talk page.I feel so concerned that its being flooded by Indian-nationalist vandals(dont mean to generalize their nationality, but they just dont stop).Even the administrators seem to be so biased.User:Szhaider has been trying to remove all Indian refference tags from Pakistani pages along with the refferences of the IVC from the India talk pages, only to get threatened of being reported to the administration board by a biased indian administrator. He's received some verbal support. He is currently working on the "History of South Asia" article and putting the IVC to make it "more neutral".But he happens to be away these days.

What mainly worries me is our people are simply gone, while these vandals have stripped us of our history. Also if you've seen our Pakistani talk pages, they're 'flooded with these users. Our choices are to either leave it alone or work on it together(almost impossible seeing how dead Pakistani wikipedians have become recently).

What do you propose be done??RegardsNadirali 06:12, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Nadirali

I do not understand why these Indians putting indian tags on these topics Indus river, sindhu and Moen-jo-daro,raja dahir, Indus Civilization never was part of india ,how come it is now part of India? i think Szhaider is correct ,we should make it netural. 8 December khalidkhoso
