Sidi Barrani (Arabic: سيدي برّاني) is a village in Egypt, about 95km from the border with Libya, and around 240km from Tobruk. Sidi Barrani is often mentioned to denote the extent of the initial Italian invasion into Egypt, from Libya, and the Italian Tenth Army would build a series of forts in the vicinity of Sidi Barrani. It has only one small hotel.
