Siddipet is a major town in medak district.It is situated between hyderabad and karimnagar on rajeev high way.Koti lingala gudi,sharabeshwara swamy temple{sun god},anantha sagar,saraswathi temple,are located in and around siddipet.
Siddipet is a biggest town in the medak district and it is 80 kms away to hyderabad , the town is dominated by business community and many small scale industries in this town are really show the people's potentiality. A huge temple sri uma parthiva kotilingeshwara temple built in 70's is really beautiful and is running a vedic school on its own. It has over 10 million(koti, which means crore) "lingam" s present in it. Adding to this there is a shridi sai temple which is a major attraction to the city.The town also has oldest Church and two oldest Mosques, Badi masjid and Choti masjid.Some other old landmarks are : Bruj and Kamaan situated in the heart of the town.
The town is limelight these days because of Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) as this party is founded in siddipet.Siddipet is famous for rice mills , mangalore tiles industries and poultry business. Siddipet is also famous for Doctors.Approximately nearly 80 highly qualified doctors are present in siddipet.to name them like DR.Ch.Ramchander Rao and Dr.Rama Devi and Dr.Chandra Reddy and Dr.Satish and Suguna and Dr.Ravindranath and Gayatri and Dr.Tirumal Reddy and Dr.Narshima Chary and So...on. Siddipet is Famous for Rice Mills and Oil Mills it stands in Second place after Mirayalguda in Andhra Pradesh for Number of Rice Mills and Oil Mills. Siddipet has 2 engineering colleges and one Nurisng college and BEd Colleges and Good Schools like St'Johns and Gowtam Model Schools. Near By Siddipet There is Place called Chinna Kodur.There is a Castle(fort) built by Akkana and Madhana ,Still (Chakunta Family) people live in that Fort.it is 6 kms away from Siddipet. There are Many NRI's from Siddipet to anme them Dr.Ragi Gangaram,Dr.Lakshman Rao,Dr.Nagamani Rao and Madhusudhan Rao an employee of NASA. Mr.Late PV Narshima Rao had Very good frinds from siddipet and he visited the place twice or thrice when he was cheif minister and as union cabinet minister. Mr.Late A.Madan Mohan former minister hails from this town. Mr.K.chandra Shekar Rao (TRS President) is a native of Siddipet.
