The Sick and Hurt Commissioners were the body, strictly the Commission for Sick and Hurt Seamen, responsible for medical services in the 18th century British Royal Navy. They were a separate (but subsidiary) body to the Navy Board, supplying sugeons to naval ships and running hospitals ashore.
