Shyamnagar

Shyamnagar (other variants of name; Syāmnagar, Shamnagar, Syamnagar, Shamnagore) is an industrial town in the Hoogly Industrial Belt, West Bengal. It has a long chain of history. The adjacent area in medieval period was known by the name of Mulajore (A thermal power plant is situated in the town named as Mulajore Thermal Power plant). it is in the 24 parganas (north) district. the nearest railway station is Shyamnagar.
