From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
it's concerning the wiki for "littlest man band" (see their discussion page). not sure what to do; if it's a rename or a move. the "littlest man band" should be a redirect, and "the littlest man band" should be the main article...
- A move is the same as a rename - it automatically creates a redirect from the previous name. —Daniel (‽) 20:58, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, I was just worried about the history pages; maybe apprehensive too. It's all fixed.Shuckiduck 12:33, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Chris Cognac.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Chris Cognac.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:05, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rx Bandits album credits
Hi, I changed/removed the information because to my knowledge the Album project page said only to list musical personnel. I see the guidelines are not as narrow as they used to be and apparently it is more or less a matter of aesthetics. If you feel it is important to list cover artist, engineer, etc., go nuts. But thank you so much for bringing this to my attention instead of silently reverting it. I appreciate the notion. Have a great day, HarryCane 18:42, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey Shuckiduck. There is a lively debate about use of promo photos on wikipedia. My name is Jeff and I Do not support the interpretation of WP:FU as implemented by user's like User:Chowbok. They believe that Wikipedia should be free of all promotional photos that are "replaceable with an equivalent" (i.e. an amateur photo from flickr). Their rationale is being debated in many places, and take it a step further believing that all promo photos should be deleted and let someone else deal with finding and uploading a free alternative.
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use
- Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Fair_use specifically this thread
- Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Chowbok
- Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_comment/Chowbok
- User:Chowbok/Robth's_RFU_Explanation
- Image_Talk:Jennifer Granholm.jpg
And many other places I've no doubt missed.
I and many others who support use of fair use promotional photos have not been successful in changing the actions of Chowbok and rampant deletion and changing of many hundred's of useful images from Wikipedia articles continues. One good example is the Jennifer Granholm article which had a great promo photo replaced by a terrible photo. I seek to raise the profile of this issue through challenging promotional photos on high profile article's like this one. I'm sorry, really I am, but fair use policy as implemented by Chowbok has left me with few viable options.
I invite you to join the battle for Promotional Photo usage on Wikipedia and the protection of Fair Use concepts. --Jeff 07:28, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
