"Shut Up" is a song by British band Madness from their third album 7. It spent 10 weeks in UK charts peaking at number 4.
The song tells a story of a criminal who despite all evidences try to convince people he is not guilty. The words "shut up" do not appear in the song at all, they were present in the early version of the track that was written by Suggs.
