Shui Jing Zhu

Shui Jing Zhu (Traditional Chinese: 水經注; pinyin: shui3 jing1 zhu4, literally "Commentary on the Waterways Classic") is a work on the ancient geography of China.

It was compiled by Li Daoyuan (Traditional Chinese: 酈道元; pinyin: li4 dao4 yuan2) during the Northern Wei Dynasty (北魏, 386-534 AD). It is believed to have been compiled in the Three Kingdoms (三國, 220-280 AD) period because of the names of the counties and commanderies. Its original authorship is attributed to Jin Dynasty (晉朝, 265-420 AD) scholar Guo Pu (郭璞).

It describes in the waterways of ancient China. Additionally, it presents many interesting aspects of the localities, but without becoming fictionalized.
