Wikipedian since August 2004, pursuing a few topics of interest (including the Isles of Shoals from which I derive my nickname). I enjoy standing guard on Recent Changes, cleaning up typos, bad grammar, and vandalism when I see them, fixing links, correcting inaccuracies, and rewriting header paragraphs so they are NPOV and say just what the article is about. I also enjoy cartography and experimenting with Photoshop for map construction.
I am a C++ programmer by trade at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, and a choral singer and webmaster by avocation, developing web applications in php and mySQL, especially at the local Unitarian Universalist congregation.
