Talk:Shors

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I may guess that they became called Шорцы, rather than Шоры, because the latter word already had a different meaning in Russian: a kind of blinds put around a horse's eyes, so that it can look only forward, but not sideways, in order not to be distracted or frightened by surroundings. So it would be considered derogatory if used as the people's name. mikka (t) 18:03, 15 July 2005 (UTC)

Merge in Chelkans? I don't know if they are the same. Ashibaka tock 04:02, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
