Is the "club style" really someone who is incomprehensibly drunk? I always had in mind some crap crooner at the local working man's club rather than a club as in nightclub? Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 23:46, 17 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- I agree with you Pcb, I never understood it to mean drunk, nor a nightclub. Graham 06:45, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)

- Split the difference? "In the manner of one incomprehensibly drunk" replaced with "so stylised (or perhaps drunkenly slurred) as to be incomprehensible." Andy G 19:08, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

- A quick search indicates that its just some wacky thing Reeves made up... I guess we shouldn't worry too much about what it is supposed to be... it just is... that sentence will do for me. Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 19:54, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

- I have a feeling that actually Reeves didn't make it up, he plagiarised it lock, stock and barrel from one of Steve Wright in the Afternoon's characters, that used to be on his radio show in the 80s. I'm about 80% certain he had a "club singer" character who'd sing stuff exactly like Reeves does - well, perhaps marginally more recognisably if I recall correctly. Can anyone confirm this? - That certainly sounds plausible - sort of thing Wright might do, but I don't remember I'm afraid, and Google is no help. Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 11:24, 20 Mar 2004 (UTC)

[edit] New series
The article states that the most recent series was in 2002. I'm sure there was a series in 2003, as there were 2 series featuring Vegas and Self. One had a yellow set, the other was grey.--Crestville 16:22, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
