Showbiz Tonight
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Showbiz Tonight is CNN Headline News's one-hour evening entertainment news show. The show first aired February, 20, 2005, with Karyn Bryant and A.J. Hammer as the entertainment anchors. Bryant left the show at the end of 2005. Currently Brooke Anderson serves as Hammer's regular (albeit unofficial) co-host. Entertainment news headlines are covered by Sibila Vargas.
Originally, the program was the first program during the Headline Prime lineup weeknights on CNN Headline News, airing at 7:00 p.m. ET live (opposite other entertainment news programs Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Extra, E! News, and Access Hollywood on the East Coast), but it has been moved to 11:00 p.m. ET to let Glenn Beck take its original airtime. The program was originally the first entertainment show to air live, but the program will now be live-to-tape. It is filmed at the Time Warner center in Manhattan; the program shared studio space with fellow CNN show American Morning, but it is now taped at the former Paula Zahn Now studio. [1]
