[edit] General information

[edit] Synopsis

When Inspector Morris fears his friend Mike is possessed, Phoebe, Paige and Drake discover that Mike had been working close to a site where a cabaret was destroyed in a fire in 1899, killing hundreds of people. The spirit of one of the victims is using Mike to plead for help on behalf of all the Lost Souls who are trapped in the cabaret, forced to relive that night for eternity. However, when Phoebe and Drake transport themselves back in time to the night of the fire, they get stuck in 1899. Meanwhile, Piper, fearing that Leo will be taken away from her, convinces him to take a family vacation; and Paige impersonates Phoebe for a photoshoot.

[edit] Enemies

  • Zankou: A powerful demon who was an enemy of The Source of All Evil. The Source incarcerated him out of fear, most likely because Zankou was a demon that could match the Source in strength. After the Source died for good and the threat from the Avatars neared, a group of demons freed him. He had the power to shoot waves of powerful energy, can regenerate when harmed, throw energy balls, shapeshift, sense things in ways no one else can, teleport in several ways, read and scan minds telepathically, has many demonic powers (like the Source), and can absorb the powers of whoever he kills as well as many more. He is intelligent and, unlike most demons, is more concerned with survival than a foolhardy ambition to fight the war between good and evil. Zankou attempts to gain control over the Shadow in the Nexus in order to get full control of the Book of Shadows and turn it evil. Zankou was vanquished when the Charmed Ones recited the spell to destroy the Nexus while its Shadow was inside him.

[edit] Spells

  • To Visit a Time Loop: Free our souls from their shells. See were the lost spirits dwells. Long enough to find their pain. Quick enough to return again.

[edit] Trivia

  • This episode title is a play on words to the film Showgirls.
  • Drake Robin sings the song "Everything's Kind of Good", co-written by actor Billy Zane's sister, actress, Lisa Zane and Andrew T. Tuckerman.
  • This is the third time that Paige morphs into someone else on the show.
  • The concept of Time Loops was previously explored in the episodes Deja Vu All Over Again and The Good, the Bad, and the Cursed.
  • The Charmed Ones vanquish Roget in the middle of the street in full view of anybody walking by despite the fact mortals are not supposed to know magic exists.
  • Leo pretends that he doesn't understand the Italian word for shoes, which is "pattini", but it is stated before that he can speak all languages his charge is speaking. Later on the show he corrects himself by saying he understands "Per l'amor di Dio", which means "By the love of God". And at the end of the episode, the same thing happens again, when he is learning to speak Italian with a dictionary.
  • The previous episode, Drake states that his name is Drake Robin. But when he is introduced to sing at P3 the announcer says his name is Drake De'Mon.
