Originally the song was Chris Brown's, but it did not make the cut on his debut album Chris Brown. Then Bow Wow planned to release it on the re-release of his album Wanted Reloaded, but then plans fell through and his record label said to keep it for his next project. Chris Brown sings the chorus and the bridge after the first chorus. Johnta Austin provides background vocals on the song, but he is not credited publicly (though he is credited on Billboard.com).
