Shopwhale
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shopwhale.co.uk was launched in 2005 by the French company LeGuide.com as the first of a series of price comparison engines for the UK. The site was renamed "Pricesavvy.co.uk" in August, 2006. Online shopping directories of this type help shoppers find the products they are looking for and purchase them at reasonable prices from online shops. Similar services are, for example, Froogle, Kelkoo or Shopping.com.
Some characteristics which differentiate Pricesavvy from other online shopping directories:
-Any shop that offers secure online payment (SSL) can be listed for free on Pricesavvy.
-Shoppers can choose their delivery zone in order to be sure to compare only products that can be delivered to them. Pricesavvy lists primarily UK sites, but also includes English language sites from around the world, offering, for example, gourmet products that might be hard to find on English sites.
-Many shopping directories allow shoppers to search either for products or for shops. Pricesavvy does both. The site offers information about every shop listed (credit card security, contact information, etc.)
