Shooting Star is a song recorded by Bad Company and is on The Original Bad Company Anthology. It is about a boy named Johnny who is inspired by The Beatles, becomes a rock star, has a Number One Record, and dies of a drug overdose. There is some speculation that this song is about John Bonham, Led Zeppelin's drummer, but Bad Company lead singer, Paul Rodgers says it is a warning to people in the music industry.
