The shoot 'em up Western is a genre of the Western movie. Usually they were low-budget and high-violence, stereotypically where "The cowboys never ran out of bullets, and the Indians never ran out of arrows." [citation needed] These movies are usually romantic and very violent with a lot of shooting and fighting. Gunshots and other loud sound effects tend to be widespread in this genre.
