[edit] Appearances
[edit] Digimon Adventure
- Voiced by the late Bob Papenbrook (US) & The Late Ginzo Matsuo (Japan).
The first ShogunGekomon seen was in a castle where his Otamamon and Gekomon servents worked, here being called simply "Shogunmon" by his subjects. A long time ago he lost a Karaoke contest and thus fell into a deep sleep out of sorrow. The Gekomon and Otamamon were told by DemiDevimon that Mimi was the one to wake their master by singing. When that finally happened, he woke up grumpy and started to attack. Palmon Digivolved to Togemon to save Mimi from being flattened from the falling ceiling and MetalGreymon used his Giga Blaster attack to knock him unconscious again. When the Dark Masters destroyed the palace, ShogunGekomon went down with it.
[edit] Digimon 02
- Bob Papenbrook & Ginzo Matsuo reprise their roles as ShogunGekomon in both versions.
The same ShogunGekomon from the first season lived in a town with his Gekomon and Otamamon servents and went into hiding within his castle when the Digimon Emperor took over the town that was roaming with Floramon and Mushroomon. When a Ninjamon slipped a Dark Spiral on him while he and the DigiDestined were sleeping ( as his solution to the Digimon Emperor taking over his territory as going to sleep and his love of sleeping was a running gag at this point), he went on a rampage. Pegasusmon and Nefertimon tricked him into attacking the Control Spire and he was knocked unconscious by Raidramon and Digmon. Raidramon, Digmon, Shurimon, Pegasusmon and Nefertimon destroyed the Dark Spiral. Later on when Digimon started to appear in the Real World, a ShogunGekomon was seen in New York being herded to Central Park by Tatum and her Digimon Partner Airdramon.
[edit] Digimon Frontier
When Ophanimon told the DigiDestined how Cherubimon invaded Seraphimon's castle, a ShogunGekomon was seen on Cherubimon's side of Beast Digimon.
[edit] V-Tamer
A ShogunGekomon named Gekovitch worked for Lord HolyAngemon and was the 3rd opponent to Taichi Yagami and Zeromaru since he didn't like the attitude of Taichi. After Gekovitch was defeated, all parties were aware that they were 100% strong. Gekovitch witnessed the invasion within Lord Holy Angemon's castle and wanted to stop his Lord from fighting against Arcadimon.
[edit] Digimon World 4
ShogunGekomon is first boss encountered in Venom Jungle.
