"Shocked" is a dance pop song written by Stock, Aitken & Waterman for Minogue’s third studio album Rhythm of Love (1990). It was produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman and received an overall positive reception from music critics. The song was remixed by DNA, featured a rap penned and performed by Pauline Bennett a.k.a Jazzi P (whose appearance during the Let's Get To It tour elevated her to cult status with some Kylie fans) and released as the fourth and final single in the spring of 1991 (see 1991 in music) where it was a European chart hit, peaking at number six in the United Kingdom and number two in Ireland. In Australia the song peaked at number seven. Due to the top ten chart performance of the song in the UK, Minogue became the first artist in the history of the UK charts to have their first thirteen releases go top ten.
The video featured Kylie dancing provocatively in front of a keyhole with rapper Jazzi P on the other side, and created a stir in the media with its sexual overtones.
