Rabbi Shmuel Aurbach is one of the Leading Lithuanian Rabbis Today. He is a son of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Aurbach.

Rabbi Auerbach is considered by Haredi Jews to be one of the most important religious authorities for Ashkenazic Jews. He lives in the Jerusalem neighbourhood of bayit Vegan.

Rabbi Aurbach is one of the leaders of the Degel HaTorah Israeli political party, and a Rosh Yeshiva. He also has a Girls School in Jerusalem.
