[edit] Dead entertainer categories

Why did I create the dead entertainer categories? Because I find such lists interesting and know many others that agree.

[edit] Re Poppin' Fresh Image

I have removed it because it had no source, and there is a policy here in wikipedia that images with out no source gets deleted after 7 days. I hope that answers your quiestion. Thanks --Jaranda wat's sup 22:40, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Short stub articles

Hi! Short articles are fine, but many of the ones you're leaving aren't long enough for inclusion. Simply saying "X is a writer for Dark Shadows" and not giving any further history of the person isn't really an article. If you're planning to expand these, please do. Have fun and give a yell on my talk page if you need a hand. - Lucky 6.9 23:52, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Frid26.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Frid26.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 07:40, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

I DISAGREE WITH THE STUPID COPYRIGHT POLICY! Why you want to ask that question?

Spencer Karter

I'm sorry about my last post. I've got it at http://www.hollowmoon.net/sites/darknessfalls/images/cast/frid/frid26.jpg it said "can be used without permission" and I saved it on my computer and uploaded it.

[edit] Category names

I noticed that you have made a number of categories (Greenvillians, Ashevillians, etc.). The correct naming standard is People from Greenville. CG janitor 05:18, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

A lot of categories are being renamed this way. A few exceptions are being made, but I think this is a new standard being formed. CG janitor 04:24, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Database lock

Hey, didn't you hear? We've decided that Wikipedia is done, to publish Wikipedia 1.0 Of course the databases were locked. Wouldn't want any vandalism creeping in at the last moment. --maru (talk) contribs 05:55, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I disagree, this is supposed to be a free encyclopedia???

Spencer Karter

[edit] Why did you remove my image of Kathryn Leigh Scott from DS?

I'm MAD at you for removing my image of KLS from DS??? WTH you remove it???? Why you did it???????????????????????

Spencer Karter

What image are you referring to? --Carnildo 08:37, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

That screencap of KLS as Maggie from 1968 DS episode.

Spencer Karter

I haven't a clue. My bot's handled approximately 47,000 images in the past four and a half months, so without knowing the filename, I can't figure out what image you're referring to. If you don't know the filename, but know what article the image was removed from, I can make a guess as to what image you're talking about. --Carnildo 21:02, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:KLS68.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:KLS68.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Category:American Television Stations with Logo Galleries

elements cross-posted

The category was nominated for, and accepted for, deletion on Wikipedia:Categories for deletion; I had no input into the discussion, and merely carried out the community's will as expressed there.
Also, please use four tildes in a row ("~~~~") to sign your comments.
James F. (talk) 13:43, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

I STRONGLY DISAGREE, YOU SHOULD NOT ACCEPTED the category to be deleted, period.

Spencer Karter

[edit] "Permission"

Here you asked another user not to revert your edits without your permssion. Sorry pal, but that's just not cool. Most everyone can edit Wikipedia, and no one requires your permission to change or remove your contributions. I'm sure that you put a lot of work into your edits, and that it hurts to see them removed. But no article here is "your's". Thanks.--Sean Black (talk?)

I STRONGLY DISAGREE with you and I DISAGREE with your comments

Spencer Karter p.s. I do not like my articles to be removed, and this is supposed to be a free wikipedia?

Sean Black,

I apologize for my last comments, but I don't like my articles to be removed.

Spencer Karter

[edit] Disagreement

I noticed that you tend to respond to criticism with "I STRONGLY DISAGREE" in all caps, and that your responses indicate that you have not heeded the advice of your fellow editors. Whether or not you agree with Wikipedia policy, you must abide by it if you wish to continue editing. Please make an effort to work constructively with other editors and to take their advice when it is offered. For starters, consider reading WP:OWN as it is clear from your above comment and recent edits to April 1 that you do not understand the boldface note at the bottom of each edit page: If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it. Isopropyl 05:58, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Please read my message again. The point I am trying to get across to you is that you should be listening to other users and taking their advice when they give it to you, such as signing your comments with four tildes (~~~~) as others have told you before. I suggest (again) that you read [{WP:OWN]]. I'm not sure what your complaints about this being a "free" encyclopedia are in reference to; anyone can edit Wikipedia, but everyone must also abide by rules. Isopropyl 06:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Please read Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages. Isopropyl 06:16, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your Additions to Date Pages

Hey Shkarter1985 - I notice that you've been editing date pages to add dates of television program premieres and that sort of thing to the Events sections. Many Wikipedians who actively work on Wikipedia:WikiProject Days of the year have discussed making some guidelines for what should be listed in Events and what should not, and our proposal can be found here: Wikipedia:Notability on a global scale over time. As you will find if you read the proposal, dates of television show premieres and other entertainment events may not be notable if they were not significant firsts globally and/or did not have a significant impact on a global scale. We will be going through the date pages soon and removing items that are not notable according to this criteria. Please be aware that some of your additions may be removed - I hope you will be understanding in this process. I notice on your edits you write "My info I added should not be removed" - by submitting any edits to Wikipedia, you are putting them up for deletion and merciless modification. One editor alone doesn't make a great encyclopedia - the value in Wikipedia rests in the fact that editors collaborate to make educational and interesting works. If you have any comments, please reply on my talk page. Fabricationary 06:32, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: WSPA-TV

Sorry about that. Per the fact that Wikipedia is not a fansite for WSPA, this section can be counted as listcruft, and I believe other editors can agree with this fact. Remember, you do not "own" these articles, as I have seen evidence of this on the other messages on this talk page. Please do not "demand" an explanation, as this does not come on as being polite. I'll leave it up this time because you asked, but don't be suprised if someone else removes it. -Whomp 12:58, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DeGrassi parody

I stand by my comment that this is probably not a parody of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and is not worth noting, but it's far too trivial a point to have an edit war about. --Poetlister 11:35, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
