[edit] re:Greeting Cards

"removed non notable companies. Company must have Wikipedia article to be listed here!" How Nazi is that. It's so nice to see that an online free encylopedia like Wikipedia can be so narrow minded. Or maybe it's just you. If an artical was made on any company removed by you from the Greeting Card list, you would no doubt remove it to leaving the issue moot. Zig heil!

There is a HUGE number of Greating Card companies in the world. If we were to list all of the companies in the "See Also" section of Greeting Cards then that article would become a collection of links instead of an article about Greeting Cards themselves. Therefore, only a several companies should be listed, and best criterion by which to select which companies to list are only those companies that already have articles. When random strangers are adding links to companies in which they work this is of course recognised as advertising. And Wikipedia is NOT a place for you to advertise your company! [edit] re:AFD

I didn't say it's not allowed to list an article for AfD more than once, it's just it is stupid and unproductive to do so. I know about GNAA and I think it's history of AfDing illustrates my point well.  Grue  11:26, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Know any others with such very high number of AFDs? Shinhan 11:57, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English

Thanks for the info on Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English (→Rasonalizam), I have deleted the article as a copyvio, source and tag were provided by User:Garion96. I also warned the user who posted it, with a {{nothanks}}. Thanks again. DVD+ R/W 03:20, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Zuzanji

Hi Shinhan... I just wanted to let you know that I thought Zuzanji was worth keeping, so I deleted the delete notice and rewrote it to be more encyclopedic and less POV. I see from your user page that you're a Serbian user, so you're as good a judge as any that it's not a notable website, But I'm a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias, and I just feel that there is so much English language crap pop culture (see Zoë Birkett) that the balance might as well be redressed with the addition of non-english language pop culture crap!! --Sepa 21:16, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

I did not suggest deletion b/c its Serbia crap, but b/c its just too small. There are several other much bigger Serbian communities that are more notable, and not represented in Wikipedia. Zujanje just looks like an advertising attempt. I'll document this thoroughly on Zujanje talk. Shinhan 05:10, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
You're right; not only is it not notable, it's a blatant ad. As I can't create the deletion page, and more importantly, you have made a far more cohesive argument for its deletion on the talk page, I request your assistance with the afd of this article. I'd also like to encourage you to consider creating those articles for the Serbian communities that you feel are notable but aren't represented in the English Wikipedia. 24.126.199.129 15:47, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Anons can't create new pages and since AFD process requires creation of AFD discusion page you were unable to finish the process, I've finished it now. You might want to consider registering for an account :) As for making those articles... I'll go to the forums in question and ask for references, b/c Im not starting anything without them. Shinhan 18:16, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
You've convinced me! I won't contest the deletion any more! Cheers, --Sepa 19:32, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Shinhan: Thanks. 24.126.199.129 22:01, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 23:16, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Emulation Galaxy

That link is pointing to the wrong section now, since someone just retitled the headings. Please read WP:EL#Restrictions_on_linking. The reason the link was removed is because it is a copyright violation, and cannot be linked from Wikipedia. Dmcdevit·t 07:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Serbian language

Thanks for the info you added on my recent Reference desk query, that the Serbian language can be written in either Cyrillic or Latin alphabets. My material is usually ca. WWII or commemorating its events, and I suppose most of what I've seen is in Cyrillic, so perhaps that's a period issue? No particular examples come to mind at present, but now that I'm tied into the Wikipedian resource community, I'll be sure to check in next time this arises. -- Cheers, Deborahjay 13:19, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

It might be a good question for a RefDesk on Serbian Wikipedia to see when was Latin script started getting used in Yugoslavia. Personally, I have no knowledge of Linguistical History. Shinhan 13:26, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
