This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Shinhwa article.

I've removed most of the images (which were making the article look less than an encylopædia and more like fanzine), including the section on 'stylings' (which doesn't mean anything to me — is it a direct translation of a Korean word?). the article still needs to be overhauled in terms of English & Wikipedia style; I'll try to do it myself (I've made a start with things like numbers, dates, and section headings), but help would of course be approciated.

I notice, incidentally, that the images still don't have copyright templates. If these aren't added, there;'s a very good chance that they'll be put up for deletion. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 09:44, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Protection

I've protected this article until the anonymous editors who are waging a revert war over the External links section either give up or explain their reasons here. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 15:17, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] North Korea?

Why no mention of their performance in North Korea in 2003? One would think that would deserve to be included. Gemfire 04:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discography

Because they have such a large discography, either start a new page, or organise the info in a nice chart. I did it a certain way on S.E.S., but it doesn't necessary have to be like that. Check Mariah Carey albums discography or Spice Girls discography for expanded examples. SKS2K6 07:07, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I organized into a nice chart, but it still needs work. mirageinred 14:03, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
GOOD JOB :))))))))))))) SKS2K6 05:05, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Aww thanks. I just need tracklisting on best of albums and summer albums. mirageinred 19:34, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I have the album covers. But I don't know how to upload them.
Hey Htruc, are you new? When you leave comments you sign with these: ~~~~. If you want to upload pictures look under Special pages (it's one of the menus) for "Upload file." Before you upload them, be sure to name them properly. i.e. instead of random assembled numbers like 123214 go for shinhwa8album or something. Also, when you upload them, look for an appropriate tag to make sure that it won't have copyright problems. mirageinred 00:55, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:shinhwaconcertsg2.jpg

I have removed the image Image:shinhwaconcertsg2.jpg which was placed in the concerts section several times. To me it reads like an advertisement for the concert, which is unencyclopedic. I placed a hidden note in the article, since I wasn't sure the message was reaching the anon who placed it. Feel free to remove the message when the issue has passed. The concert is over at 10 Sept. --TeaDrinker 17:48, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I listed two articles for deletion.

Andy Lee (musician) and Kim Dong Wan's pages have nothing more than a list of unencyclopedic facts and a sentence of who they are. If they are not improved now, they will be gone in five days. You may wish to assert your opinion on their talk pages. Please do not remove the tag without improving the article. mirageinred 22:48, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Why not just redirect them to Shinhwa? -- Visviva 23:01, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm.. but that would involve blanking the whole pages (practically as same as deletion), which some people might object too. Maybe I can recreate the page after the deletion for redirect.. mirageinred 21:36, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
You know what? I changed my mind. You were right. mirageinred 23:10, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Main pic

Doesn't this article need a main group picture? SKS2K6 04:14, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Done. mirageinred 21:57, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notable achievements and awards

This article is not a place to praise Shinhwa for how popular they are or for how many awards they have won. This section must be merged somehow. I considered delete at one point but it has too much information. mirageinred 01:20, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Solo pages

I do not get why Eric's page was deleted if Andy's is still up. Out of all of them, the only members who need solo pages at this point are Minwoo, Hyesung, and Eric, because they have done notable solo work...which is why I found it funny that Eric's page was deleted. Nevertheless, I'm not advocating for the re-creation, simply becuase he hasn't done anything since. But I'm just wondering why Andy's page is still up. Is his MCing Inki Gayo notable? If so, I'll add.... SKS2K6 05:44, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

I had proposed Andy's for deletion before. It was supposed to be deleted within five days if no one opposed. Well, no one contested the deletion for four days, but on the very last day someone removed the tag and attempted to clean it up. Honestly, it still looks like crap. I don't think the page qualifies for speedy deletion so you can propose it.mirageinred 04:08, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
I daresay Eric Mun's page was deleted because some excited fan wrote his page like it was written with her feet but no one would ever, ever know. Someday, I'll bring this page to GA but not until I create pages for every single Fly to the Sky albums!!! mirageinred 04:13, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
