Shimozuma Rairyu

Shimozuma Rairyu (下間頼竜?) (1552-1609) was a guardian-monk of the Honganji Temple.
Between the Honganji and Oda Nobunaga, Rairyu negotiated peace. It is known that Rairyu was very fond of tea ceremonies. Rairyu invited a master of tea, Tsuda Soutatsu over to join him in a ceremony of tea.
