Shichikenjaya Station (七軒茶屋駅 Shichikenjaya Eki?) is a JR West Kabe Line station located in 7-chōme, Midorii, Asaminami-ku, Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The name of the station is derived from a Shichiken tea house and dealer. Shichikenjaya Station is considered to have the most "local line" ambience to it out of all the stations on the Kabe Line.

[edit] Station building

Shichikenjaya Station features one station-side platform capable of handling one line. While the platform is long enough to handle three car trains easily, the last door on a four car train can not be used. This is not generally a problem, however, as the Kabe Line rarely has trains longer than three cars anymore. The vast majority of trains on the Kabe Line are only two cars. During morning and evening rush hour, as well as when trains from the Sanyō Main Line and the Kure Line pass through the station, there are trains which have four or more cars.
