[edit] Career
Sherrilyn had her first professional sale at age fourteen to Seventeen magazine. After that, she was published in many magazines and journals. She sold her first novel at age twenty-four and was the youngest published author by Dorchester and Kensington.[citation needed]
After six relatively successful books, her career took a downward spiral. For almost five years, she sought publication only to be rejected by many publishers. With only enough money to send out a single query letter, she tried one last time to sell her work. That query resulted in a three book deal which launched her Kinley MacGregor series.[citation needed]
[edit] Writings
Sherrilyn Kenyon has written over 40 novels, novellas, and nonfiction works published by Avon Books, Pocket Books, St. Martin's Press, etc.

Lords of Avalon will be produced as a monthly comic starting fall 2006, with a script penned by Roynne Gillespie (The Burning Man) and illustrations by an artist soon to be announced. A graphic novel edition of Sword of Darkness, the first novel in the series, should be available in Spring ’2007.
