[edit] Personal life
Skurkis was born in San Jose, California. As a teenager she moved with her family to the east coast where she attended high school. During her senior year she showed a passion for the entertainment industry by dancing, modeling and doing choreography. On October 31, 2002 she eloped with long time boyfriend Robert Cummings (also known as Rob Zombie) after almost 13 years of dating. Having the wedding on Halloween was a mere coincidence, for ten days before they were supposed to wed, the couple decided to elope instead.
[edit] Career
Sheri Moon Zombie has appeared in a number of her husband's music videos; 15 appearances in total. She most famously starred in the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari-themed music video Living Dead Girl, and in 1999, Sheri graced the cover of Zombie's remix album American Made Music to Strip By.
In 2002, Sheri has co-starred in her husband's first feature film, House of 1000 Corpses. She quickly became an icon among horror fans as Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly. As Sheri explains her character in that film, "Baby is the bait for her psychotic family to lure victims. She ultimately has higher aspirations of Hollywood stardom but is stuck with her redneck, mass-murdering family." In 2004, she had a brief appearance in the film Toolbox Murders, the only film she has been in not directed by Rob. She reprized her role as "Baby" in the 2005 hit sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, titled The Devil's Rejects.
Prior to her role in House of 1000 Corpses Sheri had expressed an interest in doing cartoon voice overs, but took the role in House of 1000 Corpses instead. In an upcoming movie she fulfilled her wish to do cartoon voice overs. She provides the voice for the character of Susie X in the animated film, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. This film was written and produced by her husband, Rob Zombie.
Sheri is currently completing work on her new clothing line, Total Skull which was debuted at the end of May 2006.
It is now confirmed by SheriMoonBoards.com that she will be appearing in her husband's version of the 1978 classic Halloween (2007 film),. This information was released by Sheri Moon's personal assistant.
