Shenandoah Heights is a census-designated place located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,298.

Shenandoah Heights is located at 40°49'47" North, 76°12'21" West (40.829688, -76.205718)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.2 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.38% water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 1,298 people, 549 households, and 376 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 611.2/km² (1,588.6/mi²). There were 613 housing units at an average density of 288.6/km² (750.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.31% White, 0.00% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.39% from other races, and 0.15% from two or more races. 0.69% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 549 households out of which 25.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% were married couples living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.5% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.88.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 19.2% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 21.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 90.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.4 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $38,958, and the median income for a family was $43,875. Males had a median income of $31,793 versus $21,250 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $23,898. 1.9% of the population and 1.2% of families were below the poverty line. 4.7% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
